Our Story

Qlean Aqua was founded in the rural community of Kwamnyandu, KwaZulu-Natal, with a vision to provide clean, safe, and affordable drinking water to communities that have long faced water scarcity and contamination challenges. The idea was born from the daily struggles witnessed in rural areas, where many families relied on unsafe water sources, leading to health risks and limited development opportunities.

Driven by a passion for community upliftment, environmental care, and youth empowerment, Qlean Aqua started as a small local initiative focused on purifying natural spring water using reliable filtration systems and UV sterilisation technology. Over time, the company grew into a trusted rural-based brand, known not only for its pure water but also for its commitment to hygiene education, sustainability, and recycling.

To reduce plastic waste and promote environmental awareness, Qlean Aqua introduced a plastic bottle recycling project, encouraging community participation and creating small economic opportunities through waste collection.

From its humble beginnings in Kwamnyandu, Qlean Aqua continues to expand its reach, supplying purified water to households, schools, and local businesses while upholding strong values of clean water access, health, and community empowerment.
